During different periods of my life, new themes develop in my work. ‘The Melody of Life’, for example, is a series of paintings where they become notes and the display is the musical score opened by a big clef. Paintings, just like notes, hang on the staff. There are 22 of these collage paintings on canvas that form part of this “melody”. The frames are all made of wood and dressed with the collage of music scores.
The stories we can find on this canvas are different, but they always speak about life as a collection of experiences; emotions and thoughts. The melody in this sense is the life and all the notes/paintings symbolically represent the moments that form a life. Alternatively, the melody can be viewed as a society where we are notes, composing this big melody of life. In either case, the melody is a symbol of movement, which is living.
This series started in 2007 and was first presented to the public at The Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. Later on it was exhibited in a gallery of Cultural Circle Bertolt Brecht in Milan (Italy) in 2007 and at Kargart exhibition in Istanbul (Turkey) in 2008. In Slovenia, this series of paintings was displayed in the gallery Media Nox in 2007. The production of works for this series finished in 2008.
