This project was created at The Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 2006 and it took almost a month to complete. The room used was created for studying artists at the Academy to enable them to express themselves differently. I wanted to present symbolically the idea of the artist and his life as horror vacui – a Latin expression which means fear of empty space. The aim was to explain the artist’s necessity to create and importance of filling space and time with art and its communication, with experience and thoughts of the artist living as a human being.

Short story about the project: I enter in the white room, dressed all white and start to paint and write on white walls. Impressions of my colored feet appear
on the floor. With time, the whole room is becoming fuller and fuller with paintings, collages, drawings, writings…and at the same time my white dress is becoming colored too. At the end, when the room is all done, my clothes
become part of the wall as well, having been attached to it.

This process of work was also filmed, produced and later presented as a 4 minutes long short movie, which can be seen on the internet.

After weeks of working every day to fill the room, it was opened to the public as a tri-dimensional diary of the artist, where you can enter and actually be inside the work of art.
